About Kairos

Built to work alongside companies building the future.

the why

Kairos was built to work alongside companies building the future - not to run a recruitment firm.

Hiring is part of how a company gets built. Done well, it gives a business clarity, momentum, and a stronger team to back the ambition. Done poorly, it slows the build and costs more than money.

Kairos exists to take the hiring complexity off founders and hiring leaders so they can stay focused on what they're building - and make sure the people they bring in can keep up with where the business is going.

The founder story

Megan founded Kairos after years working across enterprise recruitment - and deciding she wanted to work with the people actually building the future.

Having started her career in startups, she knew the work was different. The pace, the stakes, the kind of judgement it took to hire well in environments that change quickly. She wanted to build a recruitment business that meant more than flicking CVs - one that worked alongside founders and hiring leaders to design hiring properly, attract better, and assess beyond the page.

Kairos was built to be that business.

What we believe

Team-building is infrastructure
Hiring should support the build, not distract from it
Great hiring starts with clarity, not urgency
Attraction matters as much as assessment
Strong teams are built deliberately

The ecosystem

Kairos sits inside the Australian startup ecosystem - not adjacent to it.

Megan also runs the Aussie Founders Club (AFC), a community of founders, operators, and startup leaders building across Australia. AFC connects the people doing the work to each other, to opportunities, and to the conversations that shape how startups grow.

Through AFC, Kairos publishes The Startup Shortlist - a curated newsletter for people who want to work in Australian startups, and the foundation for a proper community and infrastructure we are building for startup talent. AFC also runs The Startup Stack, a partner directory of trusted suppliers across legal, finance, design, ops, and more.

This context matters. When we partner with a startup, we are not just helping them hire - we can plug them into the people, partners, and resources that help the business move faster across the board.

Let’s build the future, together.
